A True Blueprint for an Islamic State

  1. Ah yes, that’ll be the apocryphal Covenant with the Monks of Mt Sinai, even though Craig Considine always presents it as factual.

Mohammed appears uncharacteristically benign towards Christians here doesn’t he? You probably know his usual line towards Christians and other unbelievers in the Koran but the Mohammed of the Covenant is even more at odds with Allah in this instance. Mohammed promises to protect and defend Christians whereas Allah repeatedly promises to torture all unbelievers forever simply for not believing in him. Can anyone reconcile these two positions?

  2. Here are some verses from the Quran worth pondering:

    ” There is no compulsion in religion…… ” (2:256 )

    and

” …. And if God had so willed, He could surely have made you all one single community: but [He willed it otherwise] in order to test you by means of what He has vouchsafed unto, you……” ( 5:48)

” For, had God so willed, He could surely have made you all one single community; however, He lets go astray him that wills [to go astray], and guides aright him that wills [to be guided]; and you will surely be called to account for all that you ever did!” – (16:93)

“And [thus it is:] had thy Sustainer so willed, all those who live on earth would surely have attained to faith, all of them: dost thou, then, think that thou couldst compel people to believe, – (10:99 )

Despite all those commandments in the Quran, and many other similar verses, yet there are people who think
Prophet Muhammad, pbuh, used sword and forcibly converted people
